This Privacy Policy explains how Arutyunov Vladimir, IE, operating under the brand Kodo Clan (“Kodo Clan”, “we”, “us”), handles information when you play FAULTLINE: Operator (the “Game”). The Game runs on Android and iOS.
1. Summary
- The Game has no accounts, no sign-in and no in-app purchases.
- We do not collect personal data ourselves. The Game does not send data to our servers — we do not operate any servers for it.
- Your game progress and settings are stored only on your device.
- The Game shows ads: optional rewarded videos and an interstitial ad after the results of every fourth run. Our advertising partners collect certain device and usage data to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud (see sections 4 and 5).
- Which partners are involved depends on where you got the Game. The Android version distributed through Google Play uses Google AdMob and the Yandex Advertising Network; Android versions distributed through other app stores use the Yandex Advertising Network only; and the iOS version distributed through the App Store uses Google AdMob only.
- We do not sell personal data.
2. Information stored on your device
| Data | Why | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings | To save your game | Only on your device |
| Your advertising consent choice (where requested) | To respect your choice about ads | Only on your device; it is passed to our advertising partners |
We cannot see or access this data. It is deleted when you uninstall the Game (on iOS: delete the Game) or clear the Game’s data in your Android settings.
3. Permissions
The permissions below apply to the Android versions of the Game. The iOS version requests no system permissions at all: it does not ask for location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts or notifications, and it shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
The Android versions request the following permissions:
| Permission | Why it is needed | Requested by |
|---|---|---|
Internet (INTERNET) |
Network access, used to load ads | The Game |
Vibration (VIBRATE) |
Vibration feedback | The Game |
Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) |
Checking the connection before loading an ad | Google AdMob |
Advertising ID (AD_ID) |
Access to the Android advertising ID for ads | Google AdMob / Google Play services |
Basic phone state (READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE) |
Basic technical information about the device’s mobile network, used by the ad SDK. It does not give access to your phone number or calls | Google Mobile Ads SDK |
Wake lock and foreground service (WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE) |
Short background tasks of the advertising SDK | Google Mobile Ads SDK |
Install referrer (BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE) |
Identifying how the Game was installed, for ad attribution | Yandex Mobile Ads SDK (AppMetrica) |
The Game does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
4. Advertising
When ads appear.
- Rewarded ads are always your choice: the Game may offer a short video in exchange for a bonus — for example, to revive or to boost an upgrade card. You can always decline.
- Interstitial ads may appear after the results screen of every fourth run.
- There are no banner ads.
Who shows the ads. Who shows the ads depends on the store the Game came from:
- Google Play (Android): Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and the Yandex Advertising Network (Yandex Mobile Ads SDK).
- Other Android app stores: the Yandex Advertising Network only. These builds contain no Google advertising components.
- App Store (iOS): Google AdMob only. This build contains no Yandex advertising components.
What our advertising partners collect (Android). Based on the partners’ own disclosures, when ads are loaded or shown, the following may be collected and shared with the advertising partners:
| Data type | Examples | Purposes | Collected by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Device or other identifiers | Android advertising ID, app set ID | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention | Yandex, Google |
| Approximate location | Estimated from your IP address (no precise location) | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention | |
| App interactions | Ad views and taps, app launches | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention | |
| Crash logs, diagnostics and other performance data of the advertising SDKs | Launch time, hang rate, performance data | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
The Yandex Mobile Ads SDK also includes Yandex’s AppMetrica component, which Yandex uses to operate its advertising service. Yandex does not separately document what this bundled component collects; information about AppMetrica is available in Yandex’s AppMetrica data disclosure.
What Google AdMob collects (iOS). In the iOS version, only Google AdMob is used. Based on Google’s data disclosure for its iOS SDK, it may collect:
| Data type | Examples | Purposes |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers | App- or developer-scoped device identifiers. The Game does not access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) | Advertising, analytics |
| Advertising data and app interactions | Ads you were shown, ad views and taps, app launches | Advertising, analytics |
| Approximate location | Estimated from your IP address. The Game never requests location access and never passes location data to the advertising SDK | Advertising, analytics |
| Crash logs and performance data of the advertising SDK | Crash logs, launch time, hang rate | Advertising, analytics, improving the SDK |
The Game itself contains no analytics and no crash reporting, and your game progress is stored only on your device.
Apple’s SKAdNetwork is used to measure whether an ad led to an install. SKAdNetwork is operated by Apple, reports only aggregated results, and does not identify you.
Tracking on iOS. The iOS version does not track you in the sense Apple defines: data collected in the Game is not linked with data about you from other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes, and it is not shared with data brokers. The Game does not read the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and shows no tracking permission prompt, so the ads you see are non-personalised.
All data sent by the advertising SDKs is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Your choices.
- Consent (EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland). Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) shows the consent form in the Google Play and App Store versions, to users in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, before ads are loaded. If you do not consent, ads may still be shown but will not be personalised. To review your choice again, clear the Game’s data in your Android settings (on iOS: delete and reinstall the Game), and the consent form will be shown on the next launch.
- Other regions (Android). In the Android versions, ads may be personalised by default according to the advertising partners’ settings.
- Advertising ID. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads, depending on the device). On iOS, the Game does not access the Advertising Identifier.
Partners’ policies.
- Yandex: Yandex Ads Privacy Policy and Yandex Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure
- Google: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
5. Analytics and crash reporting
We do not use our own analytics or crash reporting services. The only analytics and diagnostics data processed in connection with the Game is the data collected by the advertising SDKs described in section 4.
6. In-app purchases
The Game has no in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not process payments.
7. Accounts
The Game has no user accounts, so there is no account to create or delete. To delete all game data, uninstall the Game (on iOS: delete the Game) or clear its data in your Android settings.
8. Sharing of information
We do not collect personal data ourselves, so we do not sell or share it. Data collected by the advertising SDKs is processed by Yandex and Google as described in section 4 and in their privacy policies.
9. International transfers
Our advertising partners may process data in countries other than your own, including the countries where Yandex and Google operate their services.
10. Data retention and deletion
- On your device. Game progress, settings and your consent choice are kept until you uninstall the Game (on iOS: delete the Game) or clear its data in your Android settings.
- With us. We do not hold any data collected through the Game.
- With advertising partners. Data is retained according to Yandex’s and Google’s policies. You can limit future collection by resetting or deleting your advertising ID on Android and by changing your ad consent choice (section 4).
If you contact us by e-mail, we keep your message and e-mail address as long as needed to answer your request, and no longer than 2 years after our last communication.
11. Security
The Game itself does not send data to our servers. The advertising SDKs transmit data using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
12. Children
The Game is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data in connection with the Game, contact us and we will help to address it.
13. Your rights
Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold data collected through the Game, requests about advertising data are best directed to Yandex and Google through the links in section 4. We will help you with any request — contact us at the address below.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the Game’s data practices change, for example when an SDK or advertising partner is added or removed. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
15. Contact
For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected]. Support for the Game: kodoclan.com/products/faultline/support/.
